The event, held in the Khatam al-Anbiya Hall of the shrine, emphasized the central role of Nahj al-Balagha in guiding communities toward lofty human values.
Titled "The Impact of Nahj al-Balagha on Advancing Sciences and Human Knowledge", the conference drew intellectuals and researchers focused on Imam Ali’s (AS) thought and lifestyle.
In his opening remarks, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Karbalai, custodian of the Imam Hussein (AS) shrine, pointed to the importance of Nahj al-Balagha in shaping moral and intellectual growth. He urged continued efforts to spread Imam Ali’s teachings, stating, “Nahj al-Balagha holds a pivotal position in guiding the nation toward noble human values.”

Quoting a response from Grand Ayatollah Sistani to an inquiry about the significance of Nahj al-Balagha, Sheikh Karbalai said, “This guidance highlights the importance of Nahj al-Balagha as second only to the words of God and the Prophet (PBUH). The works, dissertations, and studies we undertake must center on the sermons and teachings of Imam Ali (AS).”
He added, “Our responsibility towards this great book involves reaching a level where love for its teachings permeates our hearts and inspires deep contemplation.”
